  • Wound healing & tissue repair

  • Oxidative‑stress reduction

  • Immune‑system balance

  • Antimicrobial activity

Anti‑Inflammatory Modulation

  • Downregulates pro‑inflammatory cytokines (TNF‑α, IL‑1β, IL‑6)

  • Supports anti‑inflammatory pathways via melanocortin receptor signaling

  • Reduces oxidative stress and inflammatory cascade activation

Epithelial Barrier Protection

  • Enhances tight‑junction integrity in epithelial tissues

  • Supports mucosal healing in gut and skin models

  • Reduces epithelial permeability under inflammatory stress

Antimicrobial & Cytoprotective Effects

  • Exhibits antimicrobial activity against select pathogens

  • Protects tissues from inflammatory and oxidative damage

  • Supports wound healing and tissue recovery

KPV is an experimental research peptide and is not FDA‑approved for therapeutic use. Current evidence is derived from preclinical studies and early exploratory research. Despite its investigational status, KPV continues to attract interest in inflammation biology, epithelial‑barrier research, and tissue‑healing science due to its potent anti‑inflammatory and cytoprotective profile.

full product description

KPV (Lys‑Pro‑Val) is a naturally occurring tripeptide fragment derived from the C‑terminal region of alpha‑melanocyte‑stimulating hormone (α‑MSH), a hormone known for its potent anti‑inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties. As the minimal active sequence of α‑MSH, KPV retains strong anti‑inflammatory, antimicrobial, and epithelial‑protective activity while avoiding the melanogenic effects associated with the full hormone.

Research highlights KPV’s ability to modulate inflammatory cytokines, support epithelial‑barrier integrity, and reduce oxidative stress. These properties have made KPV a molecule of interest in studies involving gut inflammation, skin irritation, wound healing, and immune regulation. Its targeted, non‑melanogenic profile allows KPV to deliver the core benefits of α‑MSH in a simplified, highly stable peptide structure.
